Varm opp under oppr\u00f8ring, helst i en non-stick gryte. Blandingen vil begynne \u00e5 koke ved ca 104 grader. Etter \u00e5 ha kokt en stund, tykner den, Hele blandingen m\u00e5 varmes opp til 118 grader, flytt termometeret litt omkring.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e5r det er varmet opp til 118 grader, bland i eventuelle hakkede n\u00f8tter. Ta av varmen og fortsett \u00e5 r\u00f8re i 5 &#8211; 10 minutter til massen har blitt fastere. Hell over massen i en form ca 20&#215;30 cm kledt med bakepapir. La kj\u00f8le ned. N\u00e5r den kan h\u00e5ndteres, skj\u00e6r opp i passende store biter. Eventuelt kan den overtrekkes med sjokolade n\u00e5r den er kj\u00f8lt ned. Den er i s\u00e5 fall greiest \u00e5 dele opp f\u00f8r sjokoladen er helt kald.<\/p>\n<p>Dersom massen ikke blir fastere n\u00e5r den kj\u00f8ler ned, har den ikke blitt varmet opp nok. I s\u00e5 fall sett den over igjen og varm opp p\u00e5 nytt til 118 grader.<\/p>\n<p>Dersom man ikke har steketermometer, kan man bruke &#8220;karamellpr\u00f8ven&#8221;. Slipp en dr\u00e5pe av massen oppi kaldt vann.
